Butcher Block Islands


This is Mr. Sensibles domain.  

He got a hold of an old butcher block table top.  Was dinged up and needed sanding.  Which he did.

Then it was on to building a base for it.


Purchased legs were added also a drawer.



Towel hooks on each end, and painted a dark grey with a dark wax over the top.




Here is another one with two drawers.  We usually build these so that the drawers can be opened from both sides makes it very convenient.

These legs were made by Mr. Sensible just blocks of wood then routed at intervals to give it some dimension. 
 

This table was also painted in a grey with dark wax over the top.
