Magnet board

Found an old shutter at Habitat for Humanity and decided to make a Memo board out of it.

I painted the wood parts with a spotch of green then blue then white and distressed it quite a bit.

Then we added tin to the inserts.  Added magnets and used washable markers.  You can clean that off with Windex.

Happy New Year!!

Wardrobe Closet for the Garage

This is a Mr. Sensible Project...
Our neighbor wanted a closet in the garage for his hunting clothes.....

Nothing fancy.....but we did paint it ;)

It was a bit heavy so we put it in the little trailer behind the lawn tractor and hauled it to the neighbors house.

Pushed it into place......

Antique Chest and Corner Cupboard

This cute little chest was found at my neighbors.... Quite the stain on the top, I liked the hardware though.

We painted it White with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and distressed it.

The inside was not pretty either so I painted that with Duck Egg by Annie Sloan

Even the inside of the cabinet got some much needed color....

This pine corner cabinet came with the chest....
I painted it Old White Annie Sloan paint and put Duck Egg on the inside.

Distressing really brought out the detail carvings on the front.

Pallet Wood Coffee Table

This is a quick and easy project from Mr. Sensible's shop.

We had some Pallet wood and he made a coffee table out of it.

Iron gate table

We found this iron table with glass top at a thrift store.  I really liked the base but not the glass top.

Mr. Sensible took off the glass top and made me a table top out of Pallet wood.  I painted it light grey and dry brushed it with white.

Made in Mexico Dresser

We found this Dresser in St Augustine Florida.  It was pretty banged up as you can see the top right door had some major damage and was not fitting correctly. The top needed major sanding.
But....
Nothing Mr. Sensible couldn't fix.

Then we painted it black gave it some distressing around all the edges and left the hardware
Antique Brass .

Really turned out pretty

2 chair bench

Normally we would find two chairs and make a seat and be all fancy and what not..... This time we actually found a "bench" that looked like two chairs...

Painted them our go to Sherwin Williams Crisp Linen, distressed them and called it a day.

Rice bed and Antique Chest of Drawers

I was so excited to start this project that I forgot to take a before picture.
I am sure you all know what it looked like though.
It was a queen size Rice bed in Cherry finish.

I started by painting it Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Old White.

Then I distressed it.

After distressing it I put on Clear then Dark Wax.  Then spent some time working the dark wax into all the crevices.

The client wanted the chest in two colors Annie Sloan Old White and a very light shade of Annie Sloan Louis Blue. I mixed Louis Blue with Old White till I got it the shade of blue the client wanted.

I did the same as I did with the bed.  I distressed then put on Clear and Dark Wax.

The client had all the original hardware and it looked amazing when it was done.

Maple Dresser

This is a basic maple dresser.

So we painted it white and called it a day.
