Maple Dresser

This is a basic maple dresser.  

So we painted it white and called it a day.

 

French Chest of Drawers

 

This piece is so pretty wait till you see the handles!

 

So pretty but dark, very dark.

I painted the piece a pale grey and dry brushed the handles with the same color.

It really brought out the details of the handles.

 

Iron Coffee Table Made by Mr. Sensible

Here he is, Mr. Sensible. 

 He has started welding.  Actually this is an old picture he has been doing it for over a year. 

He makes these coffee tables, end tables and sofa tables.  

The tops vary.  The one above the wood sits inside of the metal frame.  The one below the wood sits on top of the metal frame..

The tops vary they can be Barn wood, Pallet wood, or Pine boards painted to look how every you want.

This one is painted pine 2x6 boards.  Painted grey then washed with darker grey then white.

We spray the bases in most cases with Krylon Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Sad Oak Table and Chairs

Here we have your basic oak table and pressed back chairs.  The table top was so badly damaged that we took it off and turned it upside down filled in the holes where it attached to the legs and painted it that way.

This Mr. Sensible spraying the chairs black.  I am really fortunate that he is willing to do this and he does such a wonderful job.

Butcher Block Islands

This is Mr. Sensibles domain.  

He got a hold of an old butcher block table top.  Was dinged up and needed sanding.  Which he did.

Then it was on to building a base for it.

Purchased legs were added also a drawer.

Towel hooks on each end, and painted a dark grey with a dark wax over the top.

Here is another one with two drawers.  We usually build these so that the drawers can be opened from both sides makes it very convenient.

These legs were made by Mr. Sensible just blocks of wood then routed at intervals to give it some dimension. 

 

This table was also painted in a grey with dark wax over the top.

 

Waterfall Chest of Drawers

Here is the before not too pretty......one drawer needed to be rebuilt.  No problem for Mr. Sensible ;)

Here is the after painted a soft blue no distressing.
