We found this piece in south Georgia. It is the one thing I remember about buying and loading it. HEAVY!!
It has really unusual pulls on it, unfortunately one was missing completely and one was broken. If you can see they are square and fit right in the center of the drawer.
I had to take them all off and figure out another solution for pulls....First I filled the existing holes with wood filler and a top coat of Dap wall filler.
I painted it Sherwin Williams Crisp Linen and distressed it.
Here is the knob that I chose. Its from Hobby Lobby and is Iron. I had to paint it. I use spray paint in white for the first coat, when that was dry I paint them the color of the piece with the regular latex paint. Just hit them a little with a sanding block to distress them a bit and all done!!
The center needed a pull as well, I used a drawer pull and mounted it vertical having painted it the same way I painted the knobs.
Took it to the shop and it SOLD! Yay two girls opening a hair salon bought it for their front desk area as their coffee bar.
Laughing out loud.....the title of this post just hit me! "She ain't heavy, she's my dresser"... that's hilarious! I find that coming up with a catchy title for each blog post is so much fun. So happy for the success your enjoying in redesign. I know it's a lot of hard work!
