My Daughters At Home Office

Today I would like to share an at home office for my daughter, that I had the pleasure to help decorate. (mostly I implemented her ideas)

This is what you see when you walk in the door and look to the right.  It is in an apartment so the room is barely 10x11.  The desk is placed in the middle of the room with this wonderful mural on the back wall.  It is fabric with an Atlas printed on it.  Off White background with Black Continents.  The chair is from Stein Mart you will see its purpose in the next few shots.

There are two windows in the room we dressed them with a drapery panel on each side.  She found the drapes at Target.  They were to short so I added about 18inches of plain black fabric at the bottom with iron on hem tape and we were good to go.

There is a Mother Teresa Quote Subway Art that my husband and I made hanging in between the windows.  The blue velvet chair on the left is a french chair from her grandmothers house.

Here is the wall opposite the mural wall.  An accent wall, everyone should have an accent wall in Hot Pink don't you think? It's the wall she faces when at her desk, the one that matches her desk chair.  It makes her happy.

Can you see why she just had to have the chair,  It matches perfectly!

Another shot of the drapes , chair and the final piece to the room THE Chandelier..... its from Overstock.com you can find it here.  It made the room!

Notice just at the bottom corner of the Monitor screen there are three little bottles of plastic pellets in three shades of pink ;) .  She peddles plastic ; )

  4. This is what a fantastic play of color means! I'm totally amused with how you balanced the neutral, yet striking black-white scheme with pink on the other wall. Hot pink! Your daughter must've been a femme fatale to have thought of this. Clayton@Metro Offices
